The Chicken King

The Chicken King is a series that follows a tyrannical chicken king and a lone resistance member who is trying to overthrow the evil king by stopping the next generation. However, in this narrative, the resistance fails, and the lone member is executed for the insurrection while the next generation of the tyrannical monarchy lives on.

I was tasked to render a series of still-lifes with colored pencils. I decided to tell a narrative that I hope to expand upon into a full comic in the future. I wanted it to be comical yet still serious and that could be used as a reflection of current issues.
