The Door to Nowhere

The Door to Nowhere explores another world beyond the door. Inspired by the 2022 Makoto Shinkai film Suzume, I wanted to expand upon what could be behind the door. I also wanted to draw from surrealism, primarily asking the question, “What does not belong here?” and adding what came to mind. This digital collage inspired the physical collage which reveals a glimpse of what is on the other side of the door.
